About Sonia
I am a Pilates Instructor & a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.

I am very passionate about helping
individuals become the strongest versions of themselves, enabling them to lead active lifestyles, excel in their chosen sports, or simply feel great in their bodies every day by enhancing overall strength and flexibility through Pilates.

I always have my 'Physio hat' on when teaching & know what I am looking for in each exercise, adapting what I teach to suit the clients needs. My many years of treating patients with injuries has helped me immensely with my Pilates teaching, knowing how to work through injuries and improve any imbalances found in the body.
I have over 15 years experience as a Physiotherapist - 10 of those years working in private practice treating common sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, common complaints such as back and various joint pain, etc.

During this time I also started teaching Pilates to small groups in 2014. My initial training to teach Matwork was with APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) in London, U.K.. I later expanded my training with APPI in Equipment Pilates (Levels 1-4).

As my curiosity and passion for Pilates grew over the years, I decided to undertake further extensive training to fully understand the true essence of the Pilates Method, undertaking a Classical Masters with Lesley Logan (2nd Generation teacher), and am now a Comprehensively trained, 3rd Generation Classical Pilates Teacher.
This means I am trained on all of the pieces of the original equipment invented by Joseph Pilates to teach his original method, as closely as possible.
"3rd Generation Teacher" means that my teacher (2nd Gen.) was taught by a direct student of Joseph Pilates (Jay Grimes, Pilates Elder).
